Climbers Fest Weekend

The International Climbers Festival is held in Lander, WY each year. We love this event and make every effort to attend. This year Grandpa J joined us with his beloved Airstream. What a treat it was to share why we love this area and festival so much. Grandpa was a real trooper and wonderful help with the boys. Mom & Dad got up super early to climb in the morning while the boys slept in and had a breakfast with Grandpa. Grandpa J, your help and time together with us is very much appreciated!! THANK YOU!!

Remember how I mentioned getting up early to go climb with the boys slept in? Well, we were treated with some amazing sunrises which rewarded us for our early wake ups.

Wolf Point is an incredible crag that takes a 4 wheeled drive vehicle and lots of hiking motivation. Dad was able to find both and hit the crag with some Lander guys.

When we weren't climbing or at the festival, we were at the camp sight. It was a perfect time for some fireworks!

Thanks for the awesome fireworks Grandpa J!

Grandpa in his Airstream

Two happy boys in the Airstream!

We spent the rainy afternoon manning the Trango tent and watching a few events.
Hi Logan!

Back at camp. Nothing like a rain free moment by the camp fire roasting marshmallows with loved ones! We sure are glad to be living in near the mountains again!!!

S'mores!!

Race day. We love to help Steve & Ellen with their morning race and enjoy the free pancake breakfast provided. It was a beautiful day!!

Anabel being silly

Ms. Ellen - race coordinator - great work!!

Uncle Mark and Dad had a held a climbing clinic at the OK Corral which went really well. Logan, Amelie and Aunt Kate joined us making it even more fun.
Here Daddy gives tips to climbers

Mom spent time belaying Logan, Axel and Lucas. The boys did great!

Grandpa enjoyed some relaxation and did a great job cheering on the climbers.

Timmy O'Neill was at the same crag so Lucas was super excited. They had their normal silly talks but this time, Timmy taught Lucas how to laugh without smiling! HA! Try it....it's very hard to do. :)

One last morning climb...

Then we packed it up and called it a GREAT WEEKEND!!

THANK YOU GRANDPA J!!!!
